About Cathi Render

Cathi Render is a real estate broker and listing agent with The Dirk Hmura Team, the top team on Portland’s west side by sales volume (RMLS, 2026). She helps homeowners sell in Cedar Mill, Vista Hills, Cedar Hills, Forest Heights and throughout the 97229 and 97225 zip codes. She brings a background in global retail buying and negotiation to pricing, preparing and marketing each home she lists.

Real estate runs in Cathi’s family. She grew up in a small New Jersey town as the daughter of a real estate broker. As a child, she sat at the kitchen table organizing her mom’s listings into black binders, and she heard the same advice constantly: “Keep the car clean” for clients.

Cathi earned a business degree from Bryant College in Rhode Island. She then spent her first career as a retail buyer, traveling the world to source products and negotiate purchases for T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and the early HomeGoods brand. That work taught her what makes buyers say yes. She knows how to present a product, read a market and negotiate strong terms, and she now uses those skills to position homes to attract buyers.

After moving to Portland from Boston, Cathi worked at Hanna Andersson before joining The Dirk Hmura Team as a broker. Her communication style is approachable and straightforward. Sellers count on her to make the listing process clear and manageable, from pricing strategy and home preparation through offers, negotiation and closing.

Outside of work, Cathi spends time with Frankie and Millie, the family dogs, and travels with her husband and kids. She’s always exploring Portland’s restaurant scene and loves trading new finds with fellow foodies.
